RCVFD Open House 2024

This year (2024), the RCVFD Board and firefighters decided to do things a little different.  We heard you at the Annual Meeting in April mention wanting to learn more about being FireWise and have fire mitigation education.  We also heard you wanting to learn more about becoming volunteers for RCVFD and how you can become involved.  Therefore, we are making our Annual Fundraiser also a fire mitigation education and Open House event!

Now that the new team has had time to get our feet under us, we are ramping up for a neighborhood gathering to share information and enjoy an annual social event.  

We have invited the following agencies to attend and share their knowledge with you:

• • Boise Co Emergency Manager/Fire Mitigation Specialist

  • Idaho Department of Lands

  • Forest Service/BLM

  • FireWise

We also want to get the community more involved with RCVFD activities and will have sign-ups available for people to take CPR, First Aid and learn to be a Landing Zone Officer (for helicopters).  There will be emergency services education by East Boise County Ambulance District (EBCAD) and (pending any calls) LifeFlight will have a helicopter on scene, as well as its membership team available to answer questions and sign-up interested persons.

And, of course, the usual cookout and beverages like we’ve provided in the past!  Note: all sales of food and beverages will be donated to EBCAD.  There will also be raffles available, too!
