2024 Annual Meeting Notice

A note from the acting President

Good day all,

This past year seems to have flown bye as we are coming up to our Annual Meeting. This year it will be at Station 2 on April 27th starting promptly at 10:00 AM.

The past year found the department with no major purchases of equipment nor any major repairs. Fortunately, the fire season was light.

I ask that you please attend the meeting as we need your support more than ever. The department funding is dependent on subscription fees, donations, and the leasing of our two tankers. We do not expect to be able to benefit from the lease income much longer as each truck has over a million miles on them.

The Board is without a secretary and president. The current chief is only temporary, and the vice-president and treasurer are up for election at this meeting.

Our active firefighter roster is down to only 4. At any callout we may only have 1-3 firefighters respond. We desperately need volunteers.

Our equipment is for the most part outdated and in need of replacement. Our saving grace is the mutual aid agreements we have with Wilderness Ranch.

At this meeting we will be answering questions about the need and benefits of Robie Creek Fire Department becoming a taxation district. We currently have a few dedicated folks working hard on this who will be at the meeting to answer your questions.

We are an uncompensated volunteer group of people in support of you when you have an emergency medical problem, an ATV, car, boat or truck accident or a fire.

We seriously need you to attend this meeting. We are in a critical situation.

Thank you,

Michael Sacks

Vice-president and Assistant Chief, Robie Creek Volunteer Fire Department
